Last week we talked about kindness, and towards the end, touched on self-compassion, kindness to one’s self, or self care.  It’s so important, and we thought it deserved its own discussion!  What are some of your “self care” practices?

“Self-compassion is simply giving the same kindness to ourselves that we would give to others. ”
~ Christopher Germer
“It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary. ”

Sunday,
February 12th

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we may be hearing lots of talk about “being in love”. That’s all well and good, AND may we suggest just “Being Love”? We don’t need any one or any thing else but ourselves to BE LOVE. It’s a pretty awesome place to BE and that state of being can be so infectious that it’s bound to change the world around us as well! Come as you are, as a Being OF Love and let’s see what happens…..

“The most important aspect of love is not in giving or the receiving: it’s in the being….being love is a supreme creative act.”
~ Ram Dass

“Loving yourself creates ripples of transformation in your relationships and the world.” ~ Debra Reble

“Your love is not outside; it is deep within you. You can never lose it, and it cannot leave you. Love is a state of being.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

“You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.” ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach
